SUBJECT:        Amend Resolution 2009-222

This Resolution will help resolve the existing problems caused by parties larger than 50 people on the south side of the pier. Currently, large parties limit parking for beach patrons, limit the restroom accommodations and cause distractions to lifeguards which could become a safety issue.

The $100.00 fee to process wedding applications is now in place but applicants are not submitting applications allowing sufficient time to process and obtain all the necessary permits. I am also requesting that “All Special Events Applications must be submitted 60 days prior to event” be added to Resolution No. 2009-222.

At this time the City of Dania Beach does not have regulations regarding the number of guests attending weddings on our public beach.
